2022-2023 Budget
The budget for the 2022-2023 school year was approved at the first General Membership Meeting on September 13th. The Board proposed to continue most programs and events from previous years at flat funding. The Budget also adds a few new events with a range of sizes and funding levels. New and returning events include:
Participation at the Downtown Cary Farmers' Market Fall Festival
Trunk or Treat
Walk or Roll 2 School
Scholastic Book Fair
As is typical, most PTA expenses are planned for direct support of classroom education, support and appreciation of teachers, and other community events. These programs are typically further subsidized by as-needed donations from families (e.g. snacks, serving wear, decorations, etc.) or in rare cases, from sponsors. Please see the files below for the total annual Budget as well as graphics depicting the expenses and sources of income expected.

Because participation and execution of PTA events has been highly unusual the last two school years, it is unclear to what extent previous fundraising records will be applicable for this year. As a result, the income from the wide universe of PTA fundraising activities has been estimated conservatively to minimize the likelihood of a shortfall. Currently, income is projected to be $20,840, while total expenses are estimated at $30,800, leaving a predicted Budget deficit of ~$9,960, which, if realized, will be covered by existing funds ($17,700). However, the Board hopes that major events like the Apex Fun Run will bring in more revenue than currently planned to offset expected costs.
